The National Bridal Market Chicago at THE MART concluded a sold-out show March 15-17, welcoming over 175 designers and a rise in buyer attendance. The event spanned 200,000 square feet on the 7th floor, showcasing brands across 11 categories including bridal gowns, social occasion wear, Quinceañera, and accessories.
A Strong Seasonal Start
The season opened on Sunday, March 15th, with its well-loved Opening Night Party. The event drew over 500 guests who enjoyed an open bar, dancing, and networking while overlooking the city skyline. The March Market also provided daily amenities such as happy hour events, complimentary breakfasts and lunches, and Instagram-worthy moments for models and attendees.
Beyond the festivities, the opening night served as a strategic networking hub where buyers could engage directly with designers, exchange insights on upcoming trends, and secure appointments for the days ahead. The panoramic views of the Chicago skyline created a memorable backdrop that reinforced the market’s reputation as a premier destination for industry professionals.
The show welcomed 22 new designers including Matthew Christopher, Isabell Kristensen, Hikaru Bridal, Curve Couture Bridal, Hera Couture, Idan by House of Idan, and Tara Lauren. It also featured 25 international designers, including those from Korea and Australia. This international presence highlights steady growth in global representation.
New entrants brought fresh aesthetic directions, ranging from contemporary silhouettes to detailed handcrafted details, enriching the overall design palette. International participants contributed distinctive cultural influences, offering buyers a broader spectrum of styles that reflect worldwide bridal and formalwear sensibilities.
Expanding Categories and Education
The Quinceañera category was spotlighted this season, showcasing 10 creative companies with show-stopping designs. The event also hosted a robust lineup of seven seminars in its expanding Educational Series. The sessions were designed to help retailers grow and strengthen their businesses, covering topics like Mastering Bridal Marketing, Closing the Sale, and Transforming Your Bridal Business.
